This is where we'll announce the most recent additions to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what is the newest William Optic telescope, telescope accessory, spotting scope or binocular, take a look here first.

Due to the US dollar rising above 1.07 (again) we have decided, for the present, to use US pricing plus an exchange rate. ALL prices shown are US prices. The exchange rate will be listed at the top of each page. The rate will change when the dollar changes by more than 5% and stays that way for 5 business days (Monday to Friday).

When this was first done the exchange was 1.085, so all prices needed to have 5% added to them, to show what the Canadian value will be. Low prices are not changed as much as higher prices. For example: an item shows a price of $39 dollars on our website. 39 x 1.05 = 40.95 Canadian. A $47 item: 47 x 1.05 = 49.35 Canadian. A $2798 item: 2798 x 1.05 = 2937.90 Canadian. Until we find the software that will let us change all prices at the same time, without doing them individually as we have been, this will probably be the pricing policy, as it takes far less time to stay on top of the dollar rising and falling this way, especially as we continue to add more lines.

This does not concern POD pricing, as POD is sold in US dollars to start with, so anyone paying for their POD in Canadian funds, will be charged the current days rate at time of invoicing. Except, when there is special pricing.......just ask.

I hope this does not cause any problems with anyone, and feel free to email or have us call you to give you the proper Canadian pricing. Our main intention was to let Canadians buy in Canada at the same price you can buy from the US, instead of loosing all those sales because you could buy it cheaper from across the border, shipping and taxes included! This way, you can support the Canadian Astronomy Market, still get fair pricing and get a warranty that starts in Canada, not the US.
