FLT158 TRIPLET
APO The Big One. Experience the best
of the FLT line: the Williams Optics FLT158 Triplet APO f/7 Refractor with
3.5" Focuser. We're not talking any refractor; we're talking superb
quality with amazing clarity and color correction. Designed by a leading
Russian optical designer, this telescope boasts EXCEPTIONAL performance.
With a super generous 158mm aperture and f/7 focal ratio, the William
Optics FLT158 APO was meant for astrophotography and optically
unbeatable.
It features a top-quality triplet air-spaced objective with FPL-53
glass; custom designed and created by a leading Russian optical
designer. This scope is extremely sharp and has a great color
correction. It is ideal for astrophotography.
The Crayford Focuser is extra-smooth.
3.5" - a treat to use during astrophotography. No more image shifting! It
is also 360 degree rotatable. The 2 speed has 1:10 reduction and
features large aluminum knobs. A Heavy duty Patented design. Stainless
steel reinforcement inserts on both sides and on the back are there to
allow heavy loading without problems. Ball bearings on both sides of the
focuser will make your focusing experience the best you ever experienced
with a scope! The focus tube displays a graduated scale for precise
camera alignment along its 115mm of travel. The focuser is so strong
there is no need for a locking screw.
Despite its 158mm objective, the scope is still very compact and solid.
The OTA comes with heavy duty CNC-machined 168mm mounting rings. Pure
William Optics quality fit and finish: powder-painted white CNC-machined
aluminum tube, golden highlights, retractable dew shield, anodized
Crayford focuser, dew shield cap, highly precise CNC machined lens cell.
A Simply Beautiful Finish!
Also included is 2" & 1.25" adapters, all with brass anti-marring
compression rings, and a High Quality Aluminum Case to stow away this
beauty when it's use is not required. But honestly, I don't think that
should happen very often, if ever. You are going to want to have this
marvel set up and ready to use at a moments notice 24/7/365. Perhaps in
a SkyShed POD?
Though you might never need it, you have a 2-year warranty from William
Optics, and the certainty that we will be there to assist you even
beyond that, if needed!
