2" VR-1 Violet Reducer Filter            Part # WA-VR1-2           $49

The William Optics VR-1 is a 2" Minus Violet filter that tremendously reduces the effects of chromatic aberration (purple halo and blue glow) that achromatic refractors return on bright objects. It's particularly suited for color and black & white photography. It works by absorbing light in the violet spectrum (around 400 nm) for more pinpoint, "APO" star views.

QUALITY GLASS
Decreases violet fringing to a nearly APO level while still providing good transparency in the rest of the spectrum.

2 INCH
Threaded to fit all threaded 2 " eyepieces and diagonals. Very convenient when used together with WO 2" Diagonals!

HIGH QUALITY FINISH
Carefully machined aluminum body.
Laser engraving.

APO VIEWS
Reduces false colour to a nearly APO level on bright objects like the Moon, Venus, and bright stars.
Weight : 30 grams

No achromatic scope should be without one!
